[美食] Cendol Bakar, Kampung Assam Jawa

Have you ever hear about Cendol Bakar (Burnt Cendol)? How to burn something with ice? Hahaha....to get the answer I will go all the way from KL for a try....

Driving from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Selangor via Latar Expressway. You will notice the " Cendol Bakar Drive-Thru" sign on your right.

There were few Rela directing the way either to parking or the queueing up line.

Vehicles queueing up at the drive-through service.

They have 6 types of cendol range from RM2.00 to RM3.50

Cendol Durian RM 3.00

Cendol VIP RM2.00

Cendol Durian Pulut RM 3.50

5 pcs Otak-Otak RM 3.00

They named it Cendol Bakar, it's not that they burn the cendol but they burning the brown suger to get better taste and aroma.

As for me, I found the Cendol Bakar is tasteless and not even the burning of brown sugar taste.

Operating hour: Daily (0900 - 1800)

[体验] Ear Deworming, Sekinchan (捉耳鼻虫)

Guess what?!

Loud Speaker?!

Was invited by my close friend ~ Little Loo to Sekinchan for this unusual deworming therapy through the ears. My mind just like huh? worms inside ears? Are you sure? How?!  After his explanation, I thought to myself why not for a try. =D

We arrived at a old wooden Chinese house and was greeted by a very friendly old men and lead us inside his house.

There already have some young and old folks having their therapy.

We'll arrange to sat down on sofa and a lower small table in front of us.

Mr Chia will placed a hot plate on it and then scooped a tablespoon of black globe of herb on the hot plate.

Immediately Mrs Chia will place the cone over and we will place our ear over a small hole on top of the corn before the fumes escaped.

You can heard the sizzling and cracking sound from the bottom of the corn and of course you can start feeling strain on your neck. Hahaha...

After 3 - 5 minutes, Mrs Cheah will removed the cone. You will then see the dead white worms around the hot plate....yucks.....very geli loh.......

After few minute, the same process for another ear.

After the whole therapy, we were given cotton buds and small bowl of secret herb to apply to our ears.

Mr Cheah told us the purpose of this treatment is to clean the air passages in our head and relief to who who have sinus, migraine.

Operating hour: Monday - Sunday (1030 - 1800)

Char Siew Zhai Wantan Mee, PJ Paramount (叉烧仔云吞面)

Char Siew Zhai is famous with their "Flying Wantan Mee". You can easily see them tossing and catching the noodles. Hopefully my noodles doesn't touch the ceiling. Hahaha... Noodles are prepared, just dip and cook the noodles in a hot boiling water and run through the standard quick bath on cool water to create the springy noodle texture.

Char Siew (BBQ pork) is a bit hard, caramelized sweet and slightly burnt.

Tasteless clear soup. I added quite a bit of pepper to bring out the flavour.

Other than noodle you can also go with rice.

Wing Soon Cafe, PJ SS2 ( 亚顺生蝦鱼头米)

I'm a fish head lover. I'll go all over the places just to find nice fish head noodles.

Wing Soon cafe has few branches, there are located at OUG, Puchong, SS2, Kota Damansara, Pandan Indah and Bukit Tinggi.

If you don't like eating fish head, you can either go for fish paste noodles only or both fish head and fish paste noodles.

Something special to Wing Soon's fish head noodles as it's comes with my favourite " Fried Crispy Pork Lard". You got to try it if you it like too.
